Cloud computing (cloud and SaaS)
What cloud computing is, how the SaaS model works, and why SimplyMobile in the Azure cloud means a quick start, automatic updates and secure data — with an on-premise option.
What cloud computing is
In the cloud model, the customer is not responsible for the hardware layer or server maintenance — the provider is (e.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS), running the data centers and offering resources as a service. Several models exist:
- IaaS — infrastructure as a service: you rent computing power and storage.
- PaaS — platform as a service: a ready environment for running applications.
- SaaS — software as a service: you pay for access to the tool, while the provider handles servers, backups and security.
Cloud or on-premise?
SimplyMobile runs in both models — the choice depends on your data policy:
- Cloud (SaaS on Azure) — a quick start with no hardware investment, 24/7 access from any device, automatic updates and backups.
- On-premise — the system on your own servers, full control over data (e.g. when security or regulations require it).
SimplyMobile in the cloud
In the cloud variant, SimplyMobile runs as SaaS on Microsoft Azure. The application is scaled to serve any number of users, and security — encryption and a granular permissions module — is designed on a safety-first basis.
- Always up to date — security fixes and new features reach you automatically.
- 24/7 access — from computer, tablet and phone, for all authorized users.
- Low barrier to entry — no large upfront investment; with well-prepared data the system can be ready in about a month.

Frequently asked questions — cloud
- How does SaaS differ from an on-premise installation?
In the SaaS model the application runs in the provider's cloud, which takes care of servers, backups and updates — you pay for access. On-premise means installation on your own servers and full control over data, but also your own responsibility for the infrastructure. SimplyMobile supports both variants.
- Is my data safe in the cloud?
Yes. SimplyMobile in the cloud runs on Microsoft Azure, with encryption and a granular permissions system; security is designed on a safety-first basis. If company policy requires keeping data in-house, an on-premise variant is available.
- How quickly can I start in the cloud?
A cloud deployment does not require buying and configuring servers, so the start is fast. With well-prepared data the system can be ready for use in about a month.
- Can I try the system before buying?
Yes — the cloud model lets you try the system without a large upfront investment. Book a free demo and we will show how it works on your processes.
